Serial Belajar SEO #1 : Menggunakan Teks dalam Website

Sebelum nulis lebih lanjut nih, Pahamilah terlebih dahulu bahwa search engine seperti Google, Yahoo, Bing adalah Robot (saya akan ambil Google sebagai contoh).

Google cuma bisa membaca huruf dan angka, itu sebabnya ketika Anda mencari foto maupun informasi di Google selalu harus mengetik “huruf & angka”. Google hanya tahu kalau didalam website Anda ada foto “sepatu warna hitam pria ukuran 42“, jika google membaca ada teks tulisan “sepatu warna hitam ukuran 42″, bukan karena Google melihat ada obyek sepatu warna hitam ukuran 42 didalam foto Anda. Lihat hasil pencarian yang saya lakukan di Google dibawah ini :

Jadi langkah pertama memaksimalkan SEO (search engine optimization) adalah  “Gunakan banyak teks didalam website Anda”

Contoh :

1. Jika Anda punya web toko online jualan sepatu, ya berilah deskripsi yang sejelas – jelasnya pada produk Anda, seperti contoh pencarian diatas ni 

> sepatu jenis apa, warnanya apa, bahannya apa, ukurannya berapa, sepatu tersebut untuk cewek atau cowok, harganya berapa. Nah kalau sudah, baru deh obyek sepatu warna hitam ukuran 42 di dalam foto Anda sudah jelas, dan informasi tersebut oleh Google akan disimpan sebagai data indeks di Google

2. Teks juga dapat membantu agar website Anda menangkan pencarian lokal di Google, misal : ada yang cari “toko online di semarang” nah website toko online Anda ngga bakalan nongol tuh di Google, kalau di dalam website ngga ada teks “semarang”, jadi memberi informasi “hubungi kami” pada website Anda pun dapat membantu website dapat tampil di Google.

3. Gunakan kata – kata yang umum (penulisan yang benar) jangan gunakan teks “alay” kecuali konsumen Anda memang komunitas pengguna kata (bahasa alay)

Perhatikan deeh website toko online terkenal, mereka semua hanya menggunakan gambar – gambar pada logo brand & foto produk, sisanya pasti didominasi oleh teks yang lengkap.
