How To Download Torrents - uTorrent for Beginners

For many people, uTorrent is the torrent client of choice.

You've probably heard of uTorrent. It’s one of the most popular torrent clients available. It has a clean, simple interface that’s easy to use. But for the beginner, the world of torrent downloads can be daunting. This hub will guide you through downloading your first torrent with uTorrent.

There are a few things you’ll need before you’re ready to download torrents.
For a start, you’ll need to download and install uTorrent. It’s available from the uTorrent website. Don’t worry, it’s free, unless you want uTorrent Plus. You probably don’t though.
Now, many torrent download are compressed files to decrease the file size. You’ll therefore want to download an archiving program to extract the files. I recommend WinRAR or 7Zip. Install one of those - they’re free too - and you’re ready to download your first torrent.

Please Note

Although this guide is for uTorrent, the process is virtually identical for all torrent clients. Feel free to use another client besides uTorrent. See below for some alternatives to uTorrent.

Where do I find torrents?

There are literally thousands of sites that allow you to search for and download torrents. In fact, it’s estimated that 50% of the traffic on the internet is torrents being downloaded. Just do a quick search and you'll get plenty of results. Once you’ve picked a site you like, it’s time to try your first download.
Simply go to your chosen torrent site and search for the name of the file you want. In most cases there will be many files in the list of results. Choose whichever one you like. There are some things to bear in mind when choosing a file:

1. Number of “seeds”. The higher the seed : leecher ratio is, the faster the torrent will be downloaded, as a general rule.
2. Comments. If the comments on a torrent are mainly negative, saying it's fake or bad, find another torrent. That's just common sense.
3. “Verified Torrent”. Most torrent sites display a little mark next to some torrents to show they are verified i.e. that the site says they're okay.. Torrents with this mark are usually good, but always check the comments anyway. Also, just because a torrent doesn’t have the little “Verified” symbol, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad torrent.

Once you’ve picked a torrent, click on the file and download it to your computer. Next locate the file and open it with uTorrent. (It should open with uTorrent automatically, unless you have more than one torrent client on your computer). Once it’s opened with uTorrent, just wait for the file to download.
If the file is very large (or you’re downloading many files at once), it may take several hours to download. In this case, it may be a good idea to start the download just before you go to bed, or just before you go to work. If you’re doing that, you may want your computer to shut down once the download is complete. To do this, open uTorrent and go to “Options” then “Auto Shutdown”, to configure automatic shutdown settings.

If the file requires extraction, you can do so by right-clicking on the file and selecting “Extract Here”. And with that, you have downloaded your first torrent, and you can use the file. Enjoy!

Torrents - A Warning

There are a couple of things you need to be aware of before downloading torrents

• Throttling. Since BitTorrent makes up such a large proportion of total traffic on the web, some ISP's "throttle" (slow down) torrent traffic to increase the network capacity available for other users. It's worth checking your ISP's Terms of Service to see if they throttle torrent traffic.
• Viruses. Because of the popularity of torrents, malicious individuals have flocked to torrents hosting sites in order to upload virus-laden files to be downloaded from around the world. This problem has lessened in recent years; better anti-virus software and more tech-savvy users means there aren't as many bad files as there used to be. Also, most torrent hosting sites allow downloaders to rate torrents and leave comments. This means bad torrents are quickly spotted and can be avoided, but always make sure you have up-to-date anti-virus software installed on your computer.
• Copyright law. While the process of downloading torrents is not illegal, some torrents contain copyrighted material like music and movies, and such torrents are illegal. Make sure you always follow the law when downloading torrents. If you're not sure whether something is legal, don't do it, just to be on the safe side.

Best 13 Ping Sites for Blogging

Hello everyone, I will be giving a quick review of 13 +Pinging-sites that you can utilize for your blogs and for any other separate blog sites you have. So what exactly is pinging?

Pinging is essentially sending out a set of information so other servers know you’re trying to reach them, and this is useful when you want to inform +Search-engines such as +Google that you updated your blog. This is vital if you want to be able to get indexed faster, and although it may not be the magic pill of +SEO , it still is something you can put into use for your blogs.

Pinging also can send +Google-spider-bots and other search engine bots to see what content is new and fresh. Just remember, only ping when you’ve updated your content, and to be on the safe side, try to ping your blog posts only a few times in a day, or every other day to reduce your chances of being penalized.

Also, if you’re thinking that pinging is illegal +Traffic-Exchange , if it was, there probably wouldn’t be a lot of users here on Bubblews….links get pinged daily. It’s just a way of letting the +Internet know your blog has been updated and you make consistent updates to it as well.

Make sure to ping appropriately and don’t spam ping your links at all.


13. 247pinger.com/
+247pinger is a site currently in beta, and based on my usage of it, it’s not really showing too much progress, but it does have potential. It’s easy to use, and you can submit up to 5,000 links by entering one in each line. Now, in this case for Bubblews blogging, you won’t need to submit that many links, at most per day 10, and you can also enter keywords as well.

12. www.pingmylink.com/submit/

+Pingmylink supposedly pings your blog to 1,132 Websites, but in all actuality, it only pings to the domain, not complex links. So in terms of utilizing this as a resource in getting your blogs expressed here, it’s not that useful. However, if you have a separate blog of your own, you can utilize this to get your backlinks from your Bubblews article to search engines faster!
So for independent blogging that links to your Bubblews articles, this is a useful site, but actually pinging the complex link form for your blogs on Bubblews, not such a good thing. And even though it claims to have 1,132 sites to be pinged, it really only pings maybe 2-10% of that amount, but hey, it’s better than nothing!

11. www.totalping.com/
This is another simple ping site where you enter your blog name and blog link, and it will ping it to several search engines and other blog feeds. Also, if you have a +RSS for your blog, this augments the chances of getting your links known, thus more views!
Almost all of the ping sites mentioned in this review will have an RSS link option as well, so take advantage of it and+Totalping !!!

10. www.pingfarm.com/
Another site that allows you to enter several links at once and keywords, +Pingfarm is a pretty useful pinging site in my opinion. It’s straight forward, and if you scroll down a bit, you can type in your blog name and such, and it’ll ping it to a few search engines.
It’s pretty straightforward and isn’t too complicated.

9. www.bulkping.com/
This is another one that claims that you can enter unlimited amounts of links to ping, but in a practical sense, you want to just submit a few links (10 for 10 blog posts a day limit for Bubblews).

8. www.ping.in/
+Ping-in is pretty straightforward, it has all the options of search engines and blog directories it pings your links to, and it just takes a few minutes before it gives you a quick report on which ones went through or not with a smiley face or frowning face.

7. pingates.com/
+Pingates sends your blog links to 40+ search engines, and that’s definitely useful for updating your blog! It has a simple format like most pinging sites mentioned in this top 13 ping sites review, just enter the blog title, link, and you’re good to go!

6. googleping.com/
This site pings to several blog services pertaining to Google obviously, and it’s about 83 services that you have the potential of pinging to as well (that’s if you just choose Check all for “Popular Services” and “Blog Services” only).
Most of the time when I ping my blog (both my Bubblews and +Blogger blogspot), I get it pinged to 82 out of 83 sites. Pretty useful if you ask me, and +Google-ping is easy to set things up quickly.

5. www.blogbuzzer.com/
+Blogbuzzer sends out pings to services like +Technorati , +Yahoo , and more!

4. feedshark.brainbliss.com/
This is number 4 simply because it’s one of the first pinging sites I found to be very useful. It sends pings to popular blog directories and search engines as well, and for this one, +Feedshark has a +Turbo-mode where if you have a fast connection, it gets the pinging done quickly and efficiently.

3. www.pingmyblog.com/
This one does more unique services and mixes things up a bit, which is definitely useful for expanding your blogs. It gives an instant report of each site pinged to your right, so you can just see the links go by quickly, and you can keep a rough check on which sites get pinged consistently.

2. www.blogpingtool.com/
+Blog-ping-tool sends pings to over 40+ services, which is the same as a few other ping sites I mentioned above, but overall, I personally like this. Not much I can say here for this one other than to simply try it out!!!

1. pingler.com/The reason why this is number one is simply because it pings your blog every 3 days to search engines and other blog directories. It’s free to sign up, and you can even set general categories for what each blog post is actually about. I believe it also pings +Pingomatic , which is why I didn’t include that for this review.

Remember to ping practically, don’t go spamming your links, otherwise you might risk the chance of having your own blog penalized, and it’ll be hard to get your way back to the top. And remember pinging is simply letting search engines and blog directories know your blog is updated. The more you show you’re a consistent blogger that can provide good content, the more credibility you get, and the more natural views you can get as well!

-Improved responsiveness in Develop module while Lightroom mobile sync is occurring.
-Custom Develop module default settings were not syncing correctly to Lightroom mobile.
-Initial rendition in Develop would sometimes appear posterized.
-Undo function failed and applied a preset instead.
-Scaling looked inaccurate when scaling to 200% in Windows.
-Manual slideshows sometimes did not advance to the next slide as expected.
-Aspect ratio changed when modifying the crop rectangle and when rotating the crop
-Image flips between portrait and landscape after switching orientation while shooting tethered with Leica S cameras.
-Fixed issue with Fujifilm X-T1 raw images appearing too bright at high ISO settings when using Dynamic Range 200% and 400%. Unfortunately, this fix may affect the appearance of existing images captured with this combination of settings. It is recommended that you (1) purge the Camera Raw cache via the Preferences dialog, and (2) review images shot at ISO settings higher than 1600 for unexpected brightness changes.
-Fixed image quality issue (noisy result) when applying spot healing to floating-point (HDR) images.
-Fixed issue with reading lossless compressed Nikon raw files (NEF files) from the camera models listed below. Previously, some images could be read but would appear as random noise, whereas attempting to open others would result in an error dialog. You will need to purge your Camera Raw cache via the Preferences dialog.

This crack is finally working, the only downside is that you must use
the fade tool to create fades, if you use the menu item "Create Fades"
or the shortcut cmd+F it crashes, so don't try, btw the fade tool
is the easiest and fastest way to create fades in PT so you should use that anyway.

Remember to enable Access to Assistive Devices,
I forgot it in the video, btw in the readme is clearly explained.

Fix Notes:
Many people faced problem with the previous patch+loader,
I made a mistake to share it on the wave of enthusiasm,
it was in a too early stage and not fully working.

Now we think this can be declared a final crack,
openssh spotted the pseudo-random iLok checks and circumvented the CRC checks,
it's now totally usable unlike the previous partial crack.
The new loader should be fool-proof. Just follow instructions.
